God Grew Tired of Us
Great film about a group of guys from Sudan who come to the US. They've never used electricity, eaten junk food; it's heart-warming and fascinating. They've also been through a lot before this point...

Alive Inside
A clip from this film had gone viral via Reddit and YouTube; I re-watched it the other night for no particular reason and subsequently realized that the full feature was playing in NYC for a few days.
So I went and saw it and teared up a few times. For me it was a very moving film.

Man on Wire
Incredible story of a French man who wants to walk a wire between the Twin Towers. That alone would be interesting enough, but additionally, this guy's passion is infectious.

Finding Vivian Maier
I'd heard about this- Vivian Maier, took tons of beautiful street photos and they were discovered after her death, many undeveloped. This film is about that and also what her life was like.

Lost Angels: Skid Row is my Home
I'm fascinated by lifestyles that are outside the norm. In that respect this film reminds me of "Off the Grid: Life on the Mesa" and "Dark Days".

Beautiful Losers

The White Diamond
Herzog is a master, and this film is one of my favorites from him. With Herzog we follow an engineer whose dream is to build an airship to fly over rain forest canopy. It's not very easy.
